Who is GAiN Canada?
The Global Aid Network is a worldwide humanitarian relief and development organization dedicated to bringing hope and tangible help to the poor and the suffering.
Our mission is:
To demonstrate the love of God – in word and deed – to hurting and needy people around the world through relief and development projects.
GAiN, Canada is a registered non-profit organization. From our humble beginnings we have grown to become part of a diverse, global network with offices in Canada, United States, Germany, Australia, Latvia, South Korea and Holland. With distribution networks established throughout Africa, Asia, Europe, the Middle East and the Americas, GAiN’s compassionate reach is truly global in scale.
Since beginning in 1998, GAiN Canada has mobilized resources to help people in over 35 countries around the world:
- Water for Life – capped water wells of safe, pure water for the thirsty
- Humanitarian Aid – food for the hungry, shelter and clothing for the homeless, medical relief for the needy, and counselling for the traumatized
- Children – support of safe and loving homes that nurture and equip children for a hopeful future
- Disaster Response – provision of emergency food, water, shelter and clothing
- Development – education classes, agricultural projects, building projects

GAiN innovatively links individuals and groups worldwide, sourcing critical commodities and mobilizing people for an effective response. GAiN Canada works to eliminate the duplication of services amongst aid organizations by cooperating and working together with like-minded agencies. We believe that unity of strengths and resources of each partnering agency focuses effectively into a single, efficient, global effort.
Networking and partnerships with organizations and individuals is only part of the success in GAiN’s response to help the needy in any country. Merely delivering aid is not always enough. Often the ground must be prepared first by forming relationships with government leaders and other key decision makers to foster an atmosphere of openness and trust before aid or development work can begin. Our partnerships are maximized by good relationships with government leaders and key decision makers in-country. The effect is catalytic; it boosts the flow of progress & escalates effectiveness of short term relief & long term development.
Our status as a CIDA-approved (Canadian International Development Agency) NGO multiplies financial contributions to approved projects in eligible countries and territories, and allows us to apply for government grants toward emergency disaster relief.
